Leave a parting gift for anyone chasing you. With this totem equipped, fire the same gun at least 6 times during one loading cycle, then empty its magazine to leave a mine at your feet. It explodes after 1.5 seconds.

Where to Get It

Defeat the official boss Mad Bomber for a 20% extra drop chance. This also works during normal raids on vanilla maps; a BossRush run is not required. The Empty-Mag Mine Box is not sold at Dingdang's Shop and is excluded from general random reward pools.

Stats

  • Type: Totem
  • Quality: 5
  • Weight: 0.5
  • Base value: 16,000
  • Trigger cooldown: 6 seconds
  • Blast radius: 4 meters
  • Base damage: 160 physical effect damage

How to Use It

  1. Equip the Empty-Mag Mine Box in a totem slot and hold a gun that can fire at least 6 times before reloading.
  2. Keep using that gun for this loading cycle until the final round is fired.
  3. When the mine appears at your feet, dodge away and reload while pursuers enter the blast area.

The fixed outer ring marks the blast area; the shrinking inner ring shows the remaining fuse time.

The blast only damages enemies; you and allies are safe. Walls and other cover block its damage. This is equipment effect damage, and the target's defenses affect the final health loss.

Trigger Rules

  • Works during raids; it does not trigger at the base.
  • Only actual shots count. Pulling an empty trigger adds nothing, and multiple pellets from one shot still count as one shot.
  • Reloading early, switching guns, or removing the totem resets the count.
  • Re-equipping does not reset the cooldown. Emptying a magazine during cooldown will not deploy a mine later when the cooldown ends.
  • Triggering a mine consumes no extra mines, ammunition, or totems. Normal firing still uses the gun's ammunition.
  • Only 1 unexploded mine can exist at a time. Removing the totem, dying, or starting a scene change immediately cancels it, including during the fade to black.

Fire your final rounds as enemies approach, then turn your reload retreat into a counterattack. Single-shot guns and magazines emptied in fewer than 6 shots cannot trigger a mine.
