Faction War Guide
Core Concept
Sandbox free-for-all. No win/loss conditions. Set your own goals:
- Help your faction dominate
- Exploit inter-faction chaos for profit
- Go Lone Wolf against everyone
Picking a Faction
- Random — Surprise assignment. For the adventurous
- Scav / USEC / Lab — Balanced pools, standard experience
- BEAR — Boss stats x2.5, allies are beefy. Want strong friends? Pick this
- Wolves — Unique Wolf Bosses prioritized
- Lone Wolf — No allies, everyone hostile. Hardcore only
When to Use Tactical Items
- Taunt Smoke Bomb — Low Boss count on field? Spawn more targets
- Chaos Detonator — Want map-wide mayhem? Hit the button
- Hunter's Whistle — Concentrate nearby Bosses for focused kills
- Blood Hunt Beacon — Every Boss on the map chases you. High risk, high reward
Economy
- Category shops use run-only Shells. Prices are the original cash value divided by 2,500 and rounded up; selling still pays account cash
- Direct hostile-Boss kills pay full Shells; otherwise, being within 8 meters at death pays half. Friendly-faction deaths pay no Shells and no hostile loot crate
- Spend the first few rewards on a main weapon, ammo, and survival gear. Ammo purchases deliver a full stack
- Category lottery costs the category's median price and shifts toward higher quality over time. Roll when your build is flexible; buy directly when you need a specific piece
Hiring Order
- Base hiring cost follows Boss maximum health, and every living hire doubles the next offer
- A cheap Boss that follows and deals consistent damage is often the best first recruit
- Hired-Boss kills count as yours and can build player growth, but that Boss no longer pays Shells when it dies
- There is no hard hire cap; Shell income and escalating price are the real limits
Growth System
- Boss growth: Per Boss, +5% HP/firearm/melee per same-faction death (only counts deaths after that Boss spawned; new spawns start fresh)
- Player growth: Land the killing blow on enemy Bosses → +0.1% HP/firearm/melee per stack (accumulates over time)
- Stack gains show a bubble above your head
Lone Wolf Tips
- No allies — all 5 factions are hostile
- Extra starting supplies to compensate
- Let Bosses fight each other — clean up the survivors
- Blood Hunt Beacon → map-wide free-for-all (spectacular and dangerous)
- Only attempt with solid gear
