Getting Started

From BossRush Wiki

Step 1: Buy a Ticket

Base merchant → BossRush Ticket. Required for all modes.

Also grab:

  • Achievement Medal — Free. Right-click to open achievements
  • Adventurer's Journal — the in-game Wiki you're reading now
  • Duck King Codex — 4000, and the shop only stocks one. It logs every Boss you personally kill, and the "first entry" achievement alone pays back 50,000. The fastest-paying purchase in the Mod.

Step 2: Pick a Map

9 maps available. Beginners: start with DEMO Ultimate Challenge (default, simple layout, and you can see which direction a Boss is coming from).

Step 3: Pick a Difficulty

Interact with the arena signpost:

  • Easy — 1 Boss/wave, limited waves. Learn the ropes
  • Normal — 3 Bosses/wave, limited waves. The real deal
  • Infinite Hell — 3 Bosses/wave (configurable), unlimited. They get stronger forever

Step 4: Fight and Loot

  • Standard difficulties: loot crate per wave. Infinite Hell: cash pool + milestone rewards
  • Countdown between waves for restocking and organizing
  • Ammo shop, repair station, and trash bin near the signpost
  • Random events can fire mid-run: a crate drops out of the sky, the moon turns red, money rains, or an unscheduled Boss walks in. Each has a banner and a timer and closes itself out. See "Random Events"

Back at Base: Do These Three Things

Once you've extracted with your first payout, three cheap things start paying out forever:

  • Build a Mailbox (500) — a new issue of The Duckov Daily every game day, carrying a daily bounty and a check-in wall that hands out high-quality prizes as it fills. Build it and forget it; it accumulates on its own
  • Build a Campaign Board (500) — takes the Duck King Campaign contracts. Six story chapters strung across modes you're already playing. Chapter 1 only asks you to clear one standard arena run without taking damage through wave 2, and pays 20,000 plus the base garden
  • Go meet Dingdang and Yuori — chat and gift daily to build affinity. Dingdang opens his shop at Lv.2 and gives Cold Quench Fluid at Lv.4, which is when reforging becomes possible

The mailbox and the board are 1000 combined - the two best-value builds in the Mod. The earlier you put them up, the longer they've been accumulating.

Advanced Modes

Once you're comfortable:

  • From Scratch — Naked + Ticket. Random start, grow from zero
  • Faction War — Naked + Banner. Multi-faction sandbox
  • Blood Hunt — Naked + Ticket + Transponder. Constant bleed, kill to survive
  • Fate Echo — Current gear + Ticket + Fate Echo Relic. Nine waves, three acts, and the Bosses counter whatever you did last wave
  • Black Market Duck Cup — just a Ticket. You never fight: sign two fighters, read the odds, place your bets and call one order per match
  • Infinite Hell — pick the Infinite Hell difficulty and find your ceiling

Quick Tips

"Return to Spawn" on the signpost = quick trip to safety.

Press L anytime for achievement progress.

Chat with Dingdang and Yuori on normal maps to unlock more content. Beyond reforging, Dingdang also does affix forging - affixes that change how your gear behaves, like kill explosions, lifesteal on hit, or armor that throws damage back.

Every arena Boss you kill banks relic souls (tankier Bosses pay more), with about a 4% chance of dropping a relic egg outright. This accumulates whether or not you've built the PetNest yet, so it's all waiting for you when you do. The egg lands with the rest of the loot, so don't stop at the gear.
