What Is It? ​

A totem-slot defensive item that converts frontal incoming damage into health. It's not a weapon — equipping it doesn't change your attacks, but it makes you tankier against forward threats. Completely ineffective against side and rear attacks.

  • Type: Totem / Quality: 5
  • Drop: 20% from Goofy Goose (works on vanilla maps too) / Dingdang's Shop (Affinity 5, stock 1)
  • Won't drop on death

Frontal Absorption (Passive) ​

When hit from the front (±60° arc):

  • Recover 30% of the damage taken as HP
  • Capped at 25 HP per trigger
  • Maximum once every 0.5 seconds

Side and rear attacks do not trigger the healing.

What It Looks Like ​

A successful frontal absorb flashes a pale blue shield ring in front of you with a metallic chime. Side and rear hits produce nothing — no ring means no absorb, which is the fastest way to tell whether you were facing the attacker.

Tips ​

  • In a 1v1 against a frontal melee boss, this effectively negates 30% of all damage
  • Nearly worthless when surrounded — only the hits that still come from your front trigger it — positioning matters
  • Totem slot means it stacks with any melee weapon you're already using
  • Pairs well with builds that naturally face enemies head-on (Dragon sets, aggressive melee)

Against Skyburner Dragon Lord (single-target melee boss), the absorption adds up significantly over a prolonged fight. Pair with a high-damage melee weapon and facetank.
