Blood Hunt
Overview
Blood Hunt is the hardest mode in BossRush Mod. Upon entering, you continuously lose health, and the only way to heal is by killing Bosses. The mode is divided into four phases, with bleed rate increasing and Boss aggression escalating. The ultimate goal is to find the evacuation point during the extraction phase and successfully evacuate.
Entry Requirements
- Naked: Cannot wear any equipment
- Carry a BossRush Ticket
- Carry a Bloodhunt Transponder (purchased from the base merchant)
- Cannot carry a Faction Banner (otherwise you will enter Faction War)
- Both the ticket and Bloodhunt Transponder are consumed upon entry
Four Phases
- Preparation Phase: 180 seconds, 1%/sec bleed, free exploration and scavenging
- Bounty Phase: 180 seconds, 1.5%/sec bleed, bounty list generated, Bosses hunt bounty targets
- Hunt Surge Phase: 180 seconds, 2%/sec bleed, all Bosses go on full assault against the player
- Extraction Phase: Unlimited, 3%/sec bleed, extraction point spawns, evacuate ASAP
Bleed rate is calculated based on your initial max HP when entering the mode, and is true damage (ignores armor).
Bounty System
When the Bounty Phase begins, the system randomly selects 40-50% of surviving Bosses and marks them as bounty targets.
Bounty Mark
- Marked Bosses carry a Bounty Mark
- Killing a bounty Boss grants the player +1 Bounty Mark
- When Bosses kill each other, the killer inherits all marks from the victim and gains stat bonuses (+5% health and damage per mark)
- The entity with the most marks becomes the "Bounty Leader" and is prioritized by other Bosses
Bounty Radar
Starting from the Bounty Phase, a Bounty Radar is displayed on screen:
- Red-orange dots mark regular bounty targets (250m detection range)
- Gold dots mark the Bounty Leader (320m detection range)
- Shows mark count and distance
Kill Rewards
- Regular Boss: Heal 50%, max HP +1
- Bounty Boss: Heal 75%, max HP + mark count (at least +1), extra high-quality item drops
- Each kill drops 1 Foldable Cover Pack
- Every 3 kills drops 1 Emergency Repair Spray
- Every 10 kills drops 1 Reinforced Roadblock Pack
- Every 20 kills drops 1 Barbed Wire Pack
Killing a bounty Boss also drops additional high-quality items equal to the number of marks on that Boss.
Arena NPCs
All three NPCs appear in Blood Hunt mode:
- Awen (Courier): Provides item storage and retrieval services
- Dingdang (Goblin Smith): Provides Reforge and shop services
- Yuori (Nurse): Provides healing services
Fortification System
Blood Hunt provides 4 deployable fortification items:
- Foldable Cover Pack (100 HP): Light cover, provides basic protection
- Reinforced Roadblock Pack (500 HP): Heavy barricade, provides strong protection
- Barbed Wire Pack (200 HP): Blocks and slows enemy advance
- Emergency Repair Spray: Repairs the nearest friendly fortification within 3 meters, restoring 25% of its max HP
Usage: After using the item, the fortification deploys 2 meters in front of you. Deployment location cannot be too close, cannot overlap, and cannot be blocked by scene objects.
You automatically receive 1 Foldable Cover Pack at the start. Obtain more by killing Bosses. They can also be purchased from the Mystery Merchant.
Boss Behavior
- Preparation Phase: Free roaming, no active pursuit
- Bounty Phase: Prioritize chasing the Bounty Leader
- Hunt Surge Phase: All Bosses forced to chase the player, unmarked Bosses gain +50% movement speed
- Extraction Phase: All Bosses chase the player, all Bosses gain +50% movement speed, unmarked Bosses gain +100% movement speed
Killed Bosses are automatically replaced with new ones (spawning at least 50 meters from the player).
Extraction
- When the Extraction Phase begins, an extraction point spawns on the map (far from the player's position)
- Stand inside the extraction point for 15 seconds to successfully evacuate
- Extraction reward: Each Bounty Mark on the player = 1 high-quality reward item, sent to storage
Win/Lose Conditions
- Victory: Successfully evacuate during the Extraction Phase
- Defeat: Death during any phase (bleed, Boss attacks, or other causes)
Strategy Tips
TIP
Bleed is continuous true damage. You must keep killing Bosses to stay alive.
TIP
The 180 seconds of the Preparation Phase are extremely valuable. Scavenge gear and kill a few Bosses to build up healing.
TIP
During the Bounty Phase, watch the Bounty Radar and prioritize killing high-mark bounty Bosses for greater rewards.
TIP
Fortifications are critical during the Hunt Surge and Extraction phases. Deploy cover at key positions in advance.
WARNING
The Extraction Phase has the highest bleed rate (3%/sec). Don't hesitate — head straight for the extraction point.
