What Is It?
A 2-piece lightning set composed of the Thunder Horn helmet and Thunder Armor body piece. Each item alone gives modest armor plus storm protection; equipping both activates Thunder's Wrath — shock damage heals you, kills chain lightning, and you counter-shock attackers — with cyan flickering eyes and arcs crawling over your shoulders. An endgame set on par with the Dragon King set.
Set Pieces
- Thunder Horn (helmet): quality 6, Head Armor +5, Storm Protection +1, item ID 500055
- Thunder Armor (body armor): quality 6, Body Armor +5, Storm Protection +1, item ID 500056
- Durability: 999 (effectively permanent)
- On death: like the Dragon King set, these drop with the rest of your gear (they are not bound) — bring them knowing you can lose them
- Repairable at the workbench (durability 999, so wear is slow)
How to Get It
- Storm Zone boss drop: killing a Storm Zone boss such as the Four Horsemen or Koko Koko rolls once for the set: Thunder Horn 20%, Thunder Armor 20%, 60% nothing. Vanilla raids count too — you don't need a BossRush run. Inside the arena it lands in the mod reward crate; in Infinite Hell it drops on the ground.
- Dingdang's Shop: both pieces at affinity level 6, 1 in stock each (restocks every time the shop opens), 30000 per piece.
- Never in any random pool (Wish Fountain, daily sign-in, ordinary boss crates) — these two routes are the only ones.
2-Piece Effect: Thunder's Wrath
Activates when both pieces are equipped (screen notification appears). Your eyes light up cyan-white and a small arc snaps across your shoulders every few seconds.
Passive:
- Electricity damage resistance +50%
- 50% of the shock damage you take is refunded as healing (next frame, green numbers)
- Storm Protection +2 in total — Storm Zone thunderstorms no longer hurt you
Chain Lightning (on kill):
- When you personally kill an enemy, lightning leaps from the corpse to up to 3 enemies within 6 m, dealing 35 shock damage each
- Enemies killed by the lightning trigger the next hop, up to 3 hops, damage ×0.75 per hop
- The first hop only counts direct weapon/grenade kills (DoTs and the set's own damage don't start a chain); 0.4 s between first hops
Counter-Shock (on hit):
- When struck by an attacker within 6 meters, 25% chance to release a lightning AOE at your location: 4 m radius / 30 shock damage
- Maximum once every 3 seconds
- Never hurts you or allies (the blast is team-filtered), and throws an arc at the attacker
Frost Set vs. Thunder Set
- Resistance and heal type: Thunder is shock, Frost is ice
- Kill skill: Thunder chains damage (and can hop), Frost freezes a crowd
- Counter: Thunder 25% / 3 s / 4 m AOE, Frost 30% / 5 s / freezes the attacker
- Weather: Thunder ignores storms, Frost resists cold
Tips
- Chain Lightning shines in Infinite Hell and Zombie Mode waves — one shot drops one enemy and three neighbours twitch, then the hops light up the screen
- 3 s counter cooldown fires more often than Frost Set; 30 damage is modest per hit but adds up over a long fight
- Shock refund makes you nearly immune in the Storm Zone and against electric enemies
- Chain Lightning kills count as yours — codex, daily report and campaign objectives all register them
